Kenmore Soccer Club held its first annual picnic on Tuesday July 29th 
at the NOCO Pavilion in Sheridan Park. Thanks to the 250 parents and players 
who attended and joined in an evening of fun and fellowship.

Congratulations to our Tim Hirschbeck and John Rojek, who were
presented with awards for their involvement in youth soccer in our community. 

Tim received the Roger Jank Award, for his devotion to
youth sports. The award is named after the long-time Buffalo District Commissioner 
for youth soccer, and Kenmore Soccer is proud to have the first -ever recipient.

John Rojek received the Jack Hicks Award, presented in recognition of volunteerism 
to youth soccer in the Kenmore-Tonawanda area. Jack was a devoted volunteer 
who spent much of his free time ensuring that the children of our community 
could enjoy the game of soccer. Although cancer took Jack from our midst, we are 
pleased to remember his dedication, and to recognize John for following in his footsteps.
